José was born in Honduras, the son of a journalist who ironically prefers to write fiction rather than facts. His genre of choice is crime fiction, but he likes to pour a dash of others into the mix.
He’s a member of the Crime Writers of Color, Sisters in Crime, Short Mystery Fiction Society, International Thriller Writers, and the Mystery Writers of America, where he sits on he Board of its Florida Chapter.
He writes the occasional book review or column for The Washington Independent Review of Books, The Big Thrill, and BookTrib.
He lives in Honduras with his wife, sons, and two rescue dogs named Thor and Apollo.
He's represented by Paula Munier at Talcott Notch
José is always happy to hear from readers and other thriller enthusiasts.
